Scalextric spacer for a front axle

This type of front axle spacer was used from the early 1970s though to the 1990s

 

This Scalextric spacer is used on just about all the classic Scalextric cars of the 1970s and 1990s and on all the front axle lengths. It is used to centralise the front axle to the body.
