The body kits require advanced modeling skills and
are intended for adult modellers. Some trimming and minor remedial
work may be required.
Instructions:
- Remove all flash from the body shell and the other resin parts
with a sharp knife
- Carefully trim the window moulding with a small, sharp scissors
and check for fit
- Carefully trim the driver's plate with a small, sharp scissors
and check for fit
- Ensure the window moulding and driver's plate fit well
- Finish the body shell and the other resin parts using needle
files and fine wet or dry paper as required
- Minor defects to the the body shell and the other resin parts
can be filled with modeling putty or similar
- Prior to painting the the body shell and the other resin parts
should be lightly sanded with fine wet or dry paper (600 grit),
cleaned with soapy water, rinsed and dried thoroughly
- Apply primer paint for use on plastic materials
- Apply colour top coats to achieve the desired finish
- Paint the driver's plate as required
- Fit the driver's head to the driver's plate and secure with
adhesive
- Secure the window moulding to the body shell with adhesive
- Secure the driver plate to the body shell with adhesive
- Apply decals as required
- The body can then be fitted to the prepared chassis
